Join us for church

Worship Services
We have one family worship service every Sunday morning at 8.30am. The service runs for about an 1.5hrs, and is followed by morning tea in the back hall and patio.

Occasionally we have special services, like Christmas Day or Good Friday too.

All our services take place at our building on the corner of Toral Drive and Stringybark Road in Buderim, about 1km from the University of the Sunshine Coast. Parking is accessible from Toral Drive, or the carpark next door at Toral Lodge Childcare can be used if our carpark is full.

Kids at Church
At Grace, we believe that church is for the whole family. During our the second half of the service we have Sunday School for kids in Kindy to year 6 (during school term). We focus on teaching kids about the Bible and what it says in a fun and engaging way,
using material developed by Mustard Seeds Ministries. Kids return to the service after the sermon so we can end the service together, and to make sure kids are safely back with their families.

For infants and toddlers, we have an air-conditioned Parents'-n-Bubs' Room with an audio feed from the service so mums can feed in comfort and parents keep their little ones busy if they need to.

Grace also has a robust and proactive approach Safe Ministry, managed through ChildSafe Australia.

What we do
Our Sunday morning worship services are about gathering together as followers of Jesus to worship God and encourage one-another.

During our worship services we sing together, we pray, and we hear the Bible read and taught. Then we spend time together over tea or coffee getting to know each other and encouraging each other. Occasionally we might have other items or presentations in our services, like baptisms, or when we have a visiting missionary, or when we are highlighting a particular ministry.

On the first Sunday of each month, we also celebrate the gospel together in the Lord's Supper. This is a way for those who know Jesus as their Lord and Saviour to remember the gospel together, and look forward to Jesus coming back. Those not participating are encouraged to reflect on who Jesus is and what the Bible claims about him, and consider what choices they might need to make about Jesus.

Just visiting?
Visitors are always welcome to join our worship services, but won't be expected to give, pray or read out loud, and you won't be singled out in the service. We're just glad for your company. Everything that happens is clearly explained by the service leader. You don't need to be familiar with anything about church to come along.

You don't need to bring anything along to our services, except yourself. Some people like to bring their own Bible (we recommend the English Standard Version, the Christian Standard Bible, or the New International Version), and a notebook and pen to write down things they want to remember from the sermon, but that's all totally up to you. Everything you need is provided, and if you'd like a Bible, please ask and we'd be glad to gift you one.

When you arrive,  you'll be welcomed at the front door by one of the Welcome Team members. Tell them it's your first time, and they'll make sure you get a welcome bag, and help you with anything you may need. If you want to talk to or pray with someone, they can also help with that.

On the way in you'll be given a service outline. This will have all the information for the service, a place to take notes on the sermon, information about upcoming activities and contact details for the pastoral staff. Feel free to take this home with you.

After the service, plan to stay a little later and join us for morning tea. We'd love to meet you and get to know you, and your family.

Find out more about believing in Jesus Christ
If you’d like to find out more about what it means to believe in Jesus Christ and enjoy new life in him forever, here are some steps you could take:

COVID Changes from 6.00pm Friday 04-Mar 2022

From 6.00pm on Friday 04-Mar 2022, major changes will be made the restrictions we've been operating under for the last two years. Specifically,

  1. We can now use our building at full capacity, as the density limits have been lifted. This also means we no longer have to manage numbers through registration for services.
  2. We are no longer required to wear masks to church, though these are still recommended.

These are major changes, and there will be a variety of responses from among our church family. Let's be sensitive to these, and continue to love one another as Jesus has loved us.

See you at church!
